Background
Rachel Brown is the founder of Rachel Brown Interiors, a design and build studio based in Huntsville, Alabama, with active projects in Atlanta, Phoenix, and Nashville. Her career began in her family’s construction business, which was started by her parents with five hundred dollars and a vision. After studying psychology at Auburn University, Rachel planned to attend design school in Atlanta. But when her father unexpectedly passed away, she returned home to lead the business at just twenty-six.
That moment shifted her path from student to builder, and she embraced it fully. With over twenty years of experience, Rachel has grown the company into a nationally recognized firm that blends construction, design, and creative direction under one roof.
Approach
Rachel’s work is driven by a sense of purpose. She views her talents as something to be used with intention and does not start with profit goals. Instead, she focuses on the value of the work and the impact it can have. Her philosophy is centered on authenticity, leadership, and building a team that thrives on trust and shared values.

Rachel is candid about the challenges she has faced, including surviving melanoma and managing chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia. Rather than slow her down, these experiences have shaped her leadership style and fueled her commitment to mentoring the women on her team. She believes in growing talent from the ground up and gives team members the space to develop their skills and confidence.
With support from her team and a business coach, Rachel manages multiple arms of her company, including coaching and consulting. Rachel Brown’s story is one of resilience, creativity, and legacy.
