Uchiko by Islyn Studio

Featured Designers:

The Local Project highlights Uchiko — a new Japanese restaurant designed by Islyn Studio — as a striking blend of “tropical brutalism” and Japanese-deco elegance that translates Miami Beach’s marina-side setting into a sensory dining environment. The interior uses raw materials like exposed concrete with shell accents, hand-pressed stone, sea-green marble mosaics and warm teak wood shutters, balanced with crafted details such as a woven fringe host stand and copper light fixtures to evoke both coastal texture and refined hospitality.
