Nureed Saeed is a highly accomplished interior designer, entrepreneur, and advocate for equity and inclusion. She is the owner and creative director of NU Interiors, a bi-coastal design firm operating in California and New Jersey, specializing in kitchens, bathrooms, and full-scale residential renovations. Her work is known for its seamless blend of functionality, comfort, and aesthetic appeal, which respects both the history of a home and the modern needs of its occupants.
A strong advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), Nureed incorporates these principles into her design philosophy and professional endeavors. She holds a DEI certificate from the Cornell University School of Labor Relations and previously served as a Steering Committee Member for the Redress Movement, helping establish it as a viable 501(c)(3) organization addressing residential segregation and equitable housing solutions. Currently, she serves on the Board of Make It Home Bay Area, a nonprofit dedicated to providing thoughtfully designed homes for individuals and families transitioning out of crisis. Additionally, as the president of the Northern California chapter of the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA), Nureed champions inclusive practices and mentorship within the design community.
Before transitioning to interior design, Nureed had a successful career in the fashion industry, working with iconic brands such as Kenneth Cole. Her background in fashion honed her skills in project management, aesthetics, and budget-conscious solutions, which now define her approach to design.
Nureed is also a recipient of numerous accolades, including being named the 2023 Kitchen and Bath Business Person of the Year, recognizing her innovation and leadership in the industry.
