Founder & Principal, Moksa Studio
Background
Jacqueline Goncalves is a rising-star Los Angeles-based interior designer who has worked with a number of A-listers to create interiors where beauty and comfort converge. With a background developing properties at Soho House & Co, she has worked on projects spanning New York, Los Angeles, and the French Alps, blending cultural influences, psychology, and storytelling into her work.
She is currently juggling residential and boutique hotel projects across the globe, from a sprawling mansion in San Francisco, to a jewel-box Brooklyn townhouse, and a historic castle in Madrid. Her experience includes leading projects for celebrity residences and luxury hospitality spaces, and later joining Charles & Co. before launching her own firm, Moksa Studio—drawn by the freedom to shape spaces that are not just beautiful but emotionally meaningful.
Approach

Jacqueline’s design philosophy is rooted in self-discovery and intentionality. She believes a space should reflect not just style but the energy and aspirations of those who live in it. To achieve this, she integrates elements of mindfulness, psychology, and storytelling, guiding clients through a process that explores how they want to feel in their home.
Rather than adhering to a signature aesthetic, Jacqueline adapts her designs based on the project’s story. Whether working on a historical mansion in San Francisco or a modern boutique hotel in Europe, she seamlessly blends context, architecture, and personal narrative to create immersive, meaningful interiors.
Beyond Design
Jacqueline’s passion extends beyond interiors—she is also an investor and designer in a Sonoma Coast hotel, a project that reflects her love for hospitality and nature-driven design. A dedicated surfer and traveler, she often draws inspiration from the natural world, incorporating organic materials, warm textures, and seamless indoor-outdoor transitions into her projects.
Through Moksa Studio, she continues to push creative boundaries, designing spaces that are not only visually stunning but also deeply rooted in purpose and emotion.
