Background
Dezirae Bruni is the founder and principal of Dezirae Bruni Interiors, a Las Vegas based interior design studio specializing in luxury residential new builds, large scale renovations, and thoughtfully designed family homes. Her journey into design was shaped by a unique combination of creativity, entrepreneurship, and years of experience leading teams across both hospitality and residential development.
Raised in a family of artists and entrepreneurs, Bruni developed an appreciation for craftsmanship from an early age. While she initially studied criminal justice and communications, she realized that creativity was the path she truly wanted to pursue. After completing her bachelor’s degree, she enrolled at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles, beginning her formal education in interior design.
Graduating during the 2008 recession, Bruni returned to Las Vegas and gained valuable business experience managing her family’s office before earning an unpaid internship with a boutique hospitality design firm. Over nearly eight years, she advanced to director of operations and lead designer, building a strong foundation in both creative design and business management.
Seeking to expand her residential expertise, she later joined a national residential development company, leading teams and overseeing thousands of homes across multiple states. The experience strengthened her leadership skills and deepened her understanding of large scale residential design before she launched her own studio in 2023.
Approach
Bruni believes exceptional design begins with understanding how people truly live. Her work is guided by a philosophy of elevated everyday living, creating timeless interiors that balance beauty, comfort, and long term functionality.
The studio works primarily with busy professionals and young families, designing homes that evolve alongside the people who live in them. Rather than following trends, each project is tailored to the client’s lifestyle while considering the home’s architecture, geographic location, and the unique character of its surroundings.
Working on projects across the country has reinforced her belief that great design should respond to place. Whether designing a newly built home in Las Vegas or renovating a historic residence in another region, she approaches every project with the goal of creating spaces that feel authentic, enduring, and deeply personal.
Beyond Design
Beyond creating beautiful homes, Bruni is passionate about preserving craftsmanship and investing in the next generation of designers. Travel has given her the opportunity to work alongside artisans whose handmade work continues to inspire her appreciation for thoughtful materials and one of a kind craftsmanship.
She also finds great fulfillment in mentoring young designers and interns, helping them bridge the gap between design school and professional practice. Sharing knowledge, encouraging confidence, and supporting emerging talent have become some of the most rewarding aspects of her career.
Looking ahead, Bruni plans to expand further into commercial and hospitality projects while continuing to advocate for a greater appreciation of the interior design profession. She believes every successful project represents the work of an entire team, from designers and contractors to makers and installers, all working together to transform an idea into a finished space.
