Bradley Odom – Profile

Founder & Principal – Dixon Rye

Background

Bradley Odom is a cofounder of Studio Dixon Rye, a design studio and retail concept based in Atlanta. His career began in the world of retail, where he spent years working within large scale brands and developing an understanding of merchandising, curation, and customer experience.

Before the launch of Studio Dixon Rye, Bradley operated Bradley ODM Interiors alongside Dixon Rye as a retail destination. The two existed as separate entities for years, shaped in part by a sensitivity to the design community and a desire to support rather than compete with other designers. Over time, that separation evolved into a unified practice, bringing both ideas together under one studio.

Approach

Bradley’s work is rooted in curation and the ability to bring together contrasting elements into a cohesive whole. His sensibility leans toward layering, mixing materials, and creating environments that feel collected rather than prescribed.

He places strong value on objects that carry meaning, whether through craftsmanship, origin, or story. This perspective informs both the design studio and the retail environment, where products are selected and developed with the same level of intention.

Rather than defining his work through a single aesthetic, Bradley focuses on flexibility. Projects are shaped by context, allowing minimal and maximal elements to coexist within the same space. This approach supports a broader view of design that resists fixed categories and encourages evolution.

Beyond Design

Bradley draws inspiration from a wide range of cultural references, particularly fashion, art, and hospitality. Fashion shows and designers serve as a consistent source of ideas, especially in how heritage can be reinterpreted for the present.

Food and entertaining also play a significant role in how he thinks about experience. From hosting at home to observing the atmosphere of restaurants, these moments influence how spaces are designed to feel welcoming, layered, and lived in.

He also values sharing discoveries, whether that means recommending a restaurant, introducing an artist, or passing along a new source. This openness reflects a belief that creativity grows through exchange rather than exclusivity.
