Background
Javier Burkle is the founder and creative force behind Burkle Creative, a Dallas-based interior design studio known for its layered aesthetic, strong sense of style, and effortless blend of vintage and modern. Originally from Mexico City, Javier’s design journey took root not through a formal plan but through the intuitive evolution of his creative career. He began in retail, first with Neiman Marcus and later at Ralph Lauren, where he worked closely with the home and visual merchandising teams. It was in these environments, filled with refined styling and attention to detail, that his passion for interiors quietly began to take shape.
It was a manager at Ralph Lauren who gave Javier his first opportunity to take on a design project from start to finish. That project, originally meant as a test of his eye and initiative, became a pivotal experience. From that moment, he knew he wanted to shift his focus fully to interior design, and not long after, Burkle Creative was born.
Approach
Today, his studio is known for a distinctive design language. Javier is drawn to pieces with character, stories, and patina. His spaces feel rich and collected, with a clear point of view that is both masculine and emotionally resonant. Clients are attracted to his ability to create interiors that are curated without being overly controlled, layered without being cluttered.
